Jeremiah 29:11. "I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future." I know God has plans for us that are good, but after three months in plan check with the Building and Safety office of Ventura County, I'm wondering if their priority is the "check" in plan check rather than the plan. We finally got the news we have been waiting for. "Congratulations you can now write us 4 more checks for $??,000.00 and get started on your house" I feel like we won the lottery and spent it all at the same time. Thank goodness we did tons of homework on all the fees, because it really could be devastating to be caught unaware of how much the priviledge of building in Ventura really costs. No kidding, land already paid for, our building budget is 35% gone before we break ground! Not that we're complaining, just amazed. So lets get digging!
